Mighty Macs Halt Three-Game Losing Streak

Immaculata University women's lacrosse team defeated Arcadia University 14-8 in Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC) action on Tuesday, April 17, at Draper Walsh Stadium.

Sophomore Claire Lichty recorded five goals, while junior Kaitie Goldsborough, sophomores Jessica Hanna, Jenna Specht and Andrea Hogg collected two goals apiece. Sophomore Jenn Norris also added a goal in the win.

Both teams started the game trading goals, but with the score knotted at 3-3 Lichty began a three-goal outburst to give the Mighty Macs a lead. It was a lead they would never relinquish. Lichty scored two goals during that stretch which gave Immaculata a 6-3 lead. They would enter intermission leading 7-4.

With the Mighty Macs leading 8-5, Hogg scored the first of two goals at 19:29 as Immaculata registered five unanswered goals to post a 13-5 lead with 14:23 remaining. They held on for the 14-8 victory.

Junior Sarah DiSimone totaled three saves between the pipes for the Mighty Macs (3-6, 2-5 PAC).

Jamie Stevenson amassed four goals to pace the Knights (2-9, 2-7 PAC).
