Immaculata University men's lacrosse team fell to DeSales University 17-9, in non-conference action on Wednesday, March 21, at Draper Walsh Stadium.
Sophomore Geoff Lorentz recorded three goals for the Mighty Macs (0-2), while freshman Anthony Cucchi registered two. Sophomore Alan Lorentz and freshmen Jim Baranello, Matt Brown and Tom Hartney each collected one goal. Lorentz and Baranello also added three assists apiece.
After the Bulldogs (4-2) scored the first two goals, Immaculata responded with three consecutive goals, including a tally by Cucchi at 14:53 of the second quarter. That goal gave the Mighty Macs a 3-2 lead, the first lead of their short history.
However, DeSales scored six unanswered goals to post an 8-3 with 6:26 left in the second quarter and took an 8-4 into intermission. Immaculata would not get any closer.
Danny Larkin amassed four goals and an assist, while Dan Thomer collected two goals and three assists. for the Bulldogs.
Freshman Andrew Sim garnered 14 saves between the pipes for the Mighty Macs, while Jarryd Stamatelos posted four saves for DeSales.
