Cammarano's Career High Propels Immaculata To First Win

Senior Nina Cammarano poured in a career-high 24 points to lead Immaculata University to an 82-61 win over Brooklyn College in the consolation game of the Rinso Marquette Invitational on Saturday, November 17. The invitational was held on the campus of Lebanon Valley College in Anville, Pennsylvania.

Junior Dominique Murray recorded her second consecutive double-double with 22 points and 16 rebounds, while freshman Jessica Gaburo registered 20 points and eight rebounds. Junior Kasey Hicks amassed 10 points, 12 assists and three steals, while Cammarano also added a career-best six steals.

Leading 40-36 at the half, the Mighty Macs (1-1) opened the second half on a 14-4 run to grab a 54-40 lead with 15:45 remaining. Immaculata never looked back as they cruised in the second half to the 82-61 victory.

Amber Gordon and Christina McDonnell each totaled 19 points tp pace the Brodges (0-2).

The Mighty Macs return to action on Monday, Novebmer 19, when they host Keystone College in their home opener. Tip-off is set for 7 pm.
