Senior Meg Legere recorded a game-high 21 points, but Immaculata University fell to Emory & Henry College 68-55, at the Sunsational Tournament on Saturday, December 30, in the Virgin Islands.
With 17.9 left in the first half, Legere became the 16th player in women's basketball history to record 1,000-career points. She finished with 21 points and has totaled 1,009 points for her career. Legere is 30 points shy of tying Mary Tipping (1.039) for 15th all-time.
Legere also pulled down 12 rebounds, while sophomore Kasey Hicks amassed 10 points. Sophomore Courtney Dixon registered seven points.
The Mighty Macs (5-6) return to action on Thursday, January 11, when they face Penn-State Berks. Tip-off is set for 7 pm.
