Senior Meg Legere recorded a game-high 19 points to lead Immaculata University to a 64-61 win over Rosemont College in Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC) action on Thursday, November 30, in Alumnae Hall. It was the conference opener for both squads.
Sophomore Courtney Dixon registered 13 points of the bench, including 3-for-5 from beyond the arc, while junior Nina Cammarano collected nine points. Senior Mary Kate Pawlowski amassed six points, three assists and three steals, while sophomore Dominique Murray totaled eight points and sophomore Kasey Hicks added seven assists.
Trailing 60-53 with 3:06 left the Ramblers (1-3, 0-1 PAC) went on an 8-0 run to grab a 61-60 lead with 0:47 remaining. But Legere and Hicks connected on their fouls shots, and Immaculata played stellar defense, in the final 0:30 to give the Mighty Macs a 64-61 win.
Katie Linder paced Rosemont with 19 points and nine rebounds, while Cecelia Saunders recorded 17 points. Katie Ayers and Andrea Boyle posted 10 points each.
Immaculata (3-2, 1-0 PAC) returns to action on Saturday, December 2, when they face Alvernia College in Reading, PA. Tip-off is set for 1 pm.
