Four starters scored in double-digits as the Immaculata University women's basketball team captured its second straight win with a 79-65 victory over Elizabethtown College, on Tuesday, November 21, in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania.
Senior Mary Kate Pawlowski paced the Mighty Macs with a team-high 19 points, while fellow senior Meg Legere collected 14 points and eight rebounds. Sophomore Jessica Danztler-Henry amassed 13 points, three steals and a career-high seven assists, while junior Nina Cammarano registered 12 points on four three-point field goals. Sophomore Kasey Hicks came off the bench and added a season-high seven assists, while sophomore Dominique Murray pulled down a season-best 13 rebounds.
Trailing 45-36 at the half, the Mighty Macs (2-1) went on a 20-8 run take a 56-54 lead with 11:36 remaining. After a three-pointer by Megan Quinn at 10:30 gave the Blue Jays a 57-56 lead, Immaculata closed the game on a 23-8 run to post the 79-65 victory. The Mighty Macs held Elizabethtown to 23.5% (8-34) shooting in the second half.
Erin Walton led the Blue Jays (1-2) with a game-high 21 points, while Audrey Hitz collected a double-double with 10 points and 15 rebounds.
Immaculata returns to action on Monday, November 27, when they host Rowan University in the home opener. Tip-off is set for 7 pm.
