Box Score DOYLESTOWN, Pa. - Immaculata women's volleyball opened their 2026 season on Tuesday with a 3-1 road win against the Delaware Valley University Aggies.
The Mighty Macs are 1-0 for the season. Their first AEC match will be on Saturday, Oct. 17 versus Saint Elizabeth.
HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST DELAWARE VALLEY
- First-years Tara Hirschtritt and Madi Kyle got the Mighty Macs on the board to start the evening. It was relatively a tight affair until multiple Delaware Valley errors provided Immaculata with momentum. The Aggies mounted a comeback attempt and pulled to within two before a 6-1 Immaculata run sealed the set. Angelica Santini Bulerin capped it off with an ace. The Mighty Macs took set one 25-18.
- Immaculata jumped in the lead first, thanks to more home team errors and a few aces. The Mighty Macs' offense caught fire with 13 consecutive points. Kyle had four kills in the outburst. The Aggies scored a couple to get back into the set, but the Mighty Macs held the advantage. They won set two 25-11.
- Despite a 5-4 lead for Immaculata in set three, the Aggies used an 8-1 run to go ahead. Even with a handful of Antonia Antolini kills, the home team kept Immaculata at a distance for the remainder of the frame. Delaware Valley grabbed the third set 25-15.
- The Mighty Macs' offense was clicking in the fourth set, going as high as 11-4 off a Mel Mann kill. The Aggies had no answers the rest of the way. Immaculata scored 13 of the final 15 points. Although three of the last four were off home team errors, the Mighty Macs were victorious in set four 25-9, and the match 3-1.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Kyle led the team with 10 kills in her collegiate debut.
- Hirschtritt had 13 assists in her collegiate debut.
- Adriana Ventura logged 15 digs and five aces.
- Eliana Szatkowski was tough on defense with seven blocks (one solo, six assisted).
- Santini Bulerin notched a double-double of 14 digs and 11 assists, as well as five aces.

- The Mighty Macs will be at the DeSales Invitational over Labor Day Weekend. They will play the Rutgers-Camden Scarlet Raptors on Friday, Sept. 4 at 5 p.m.
