Alexa Peterson is in her first season with the Mighty Macs in 2025-26.
Immaculata University Director of Athletics and Recreation
Paul Murphy announced
Alexa Peterson as the Mighty Macs' new head softball coach, as well as being an assistant to the athletic director.
"We are incredibly excited to welcome Alexa to lead our softball program," Murphy said. "Despite being early in her career, her passion for the game, and her approach to player development and recruiting, truly set her apart. She is deeply in tune with today's student-athlete, and we are confident she has the vision and energy to build a championship-level program for years to come."
Peterson comes to Immaculata from Haverford College, where she was an assistant coach for the 2024-25 season. The year prior, she was an assistant for 16u Pegasus Fast Pitch.
Outside of coaching softball, Peterson works as a personal trainer and client success manager for Driven Strength and Fitness and as a softball instructor and strength and conditioning coach for MUB Sports Performance.
Peterson was a Division II softball player for West Chester University. With Peterson on the roster, the Golden Rams made three Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Tournament appearances, winning two. West Chester also won one regional championship title in three appearances and appeared in an NCAA National Championship.
Peterson has a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from West Chester, with a minor in Nutrition and a minor in Sports Coaching.
