WHAT TO KNOW
  • The Immaculata women's flag football team (10-2, 9-2 AEC) returns to Draper Walsh Stadium to host Eastern in an AEC matchup on Saturday.
  • Immaculata enters Saturday's game after defeating Penn State Schuylkill on the road last Thursday, 27-6.
  • Eastern (12-2, 10-1 AEC) enters Saturday after falling to Montclair State 7-6 on the road on Thursday afternoon in a non-AEC matchup.
  • This was scheduled to be a tri-match with Eastern and Marywood. Marywood is unable to field a team this weekend and has forfeited the games to Immaculata and Eastern.

  • Kyla Massenburg is a true all-purpose threat, totaling 487 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns while contributing as a receiver, returner, and defensive leader with 86 tackles and 20 sacks. Her versatility makes her one of the most impactful players in the conference.
  • Jeriyah Johnson and Damiyae Moyet headline a deep receiving corps, combining for over 1,100 yards and 29 touchdowns. Johnson also adds 10 interceptions on defense, giving Eastern a major playmaker on both sides of the ball.
  • Molly Schellpeper continues to shine as a two-way standout with six receiving touchdowns and a team-high 13 interceptions, anchoring a defense that has forced 37 takeaways.
  • Defensively, Eastern is led by a disruptive front and opportunistic secondary, with players like Stephanie White, Sanej Tyler, and Briel Hyppolite helping the team allow just 7.6 points per game while consistently creating pressure and turnovers.
AEC WEEKLY HONORS
  • Immaculata swept the Atlantic East Conference Weekly Awards this week with Devan Cosgrove being named AEC Player of the Week, and Theresa Jappah being named AEC Defensive Player of the Week.
  • Cosgrove led Immaculata to a 3–0 record in Atlantic East Conference play, completing 34-of-53 passes (64.2%) for 373 yards and 13 touchdowns. She also contributed on the ground with 32 rushing yards on 10 carries. Against Centenary, she went 12-of-16 for 135 yards and six touchdown passes. She also recorded 183 passing yards and four touchdowns in a victory over Penn State Schuylkill and added three more touchdown passes in a second win against Penn State Schuylkill.
  • Jappah was a game-changing force on defense, leading Immaculata to a 3–0 week in Atlantic East Conference play with a series of dominant performances. Across the three victories, Jappah recorded 18 solo tackles, multiple pass breakups, and three interceptions, two of which she returned for touchdowns. In a key win over Centenary, Jappah delivered 10 solo tackles, two pass breakups, and two interceptions, including a 75-yard pick-six interception return for a touchdown. She also made a strong impact against Penn State Schuylkill earlier in the week, totaling five solo tackles and two pass breakups before capping the week in Thursday's win at Penn State Schuylkill, recording three solo tackles, and returning an interception 22 yards for a touchdown.
