Softball Hosts Centenary for an AEC Doubleheader on Thursday Afternoon

WHAT TO KNOW
  • The Immaculata softball team (7-11, 1-3 AEC) returns to the IU Softball Field on Thursday afternoon when it hosts Centenary in an AEC doubleheader.
  • Immaculata enters Thursday's game after dropping a pair of games to (RV) Eastern University on Tuesday, falling 4-0 and 3-1 at the IU Softball Field.
  • Centenary (3-15, 1-1 AEC) dropped both games of their doubleheader at Cedar Crest on Monday, 12-0 and 5-4. The Cyclones were playing Drew University in a doubleheader on Wednesday afternoon,
 
SERIES HISTORY
  • Thursday's doubleheader will mark the 32nd and 33rd meeting between Immaculata and Centenary in a series that began in 2008.
  • Immaculata is 15-16 all-time vs Centenary.
 
LAST MEETING
  • The teams split their doubleheader at Centenary on April 14, 2025, with Immaculata winning game one 9-0, before Centenary took the nightcap 11-9.
  • Jess Oldham went 2-4 with a double and 4 RBIs, and Riece Onorato earned the win with a complete game, seven-hit shutout in game one for the Mighty Macs.

  • Nadia Bhuiyan has been a dependable second option for the Mighty Macs with a 2-1 record, one save, a 4.50 ERA, and 16 strikeouts in 37.1 innings pitched.
 
SCOUTING CENTENARY
  • Julia Sorrentino is the Cyclones' best all-around hitter, batting .314, with 1 HR, and 13 RBIs.
  • D'Ani Morales is the Cyclones' most dynamic bat and extra base speed threat, hitting .311 with three triples. Morales is also a pitcher with an 8.02 ERA in 48 innings pitched.
  • Alyssa Tronolone is a table-setter with speed, batting .286, with six stolen bases.
  • Sierra Stultz has been a workhorse on the mound for Centenary with a 6.87 ERA in 54 innings pitched.
