ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Immaculata women's track and field team competed on Saturday in the LVC Blue & White Open hosted by Lebanon Valley College.
 
Immaculata opened competition with a well-rounded performance across sprints, distance, and field events, highlighted by a victory from freshman Abby Grillo, who broke her own program record in the 400 meters (1:00.46). The team also saw a strong showing in distance from Aubrey Donahue, who placed second in the 3000 meters (10:53.96) and added a fifth-place finish in the 1500. In the field, Jillian Humphries led the way with a third-place finish in the high jump, while Maggie Friend contributed across multiple throwing events, breaking a program record in the weight throw. Immaculata's depth was evident throughout the meet, including a runner-up finish in the 4x400 relay, signaling a solid performance in competition.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED IN TRACK EVENTS

100 – Meters: Samantha River finished 24^th with a time of 14.76, and Abby Friend finished 29^th with a personal best time of 15.90.
200 – Meters: Abby Grillo finished 5th with a personal best time of 27.61, Brianna Caulwell finished 15^th, tying her personal best with a time of 29.03, Samantha Rivera finished 21^st with a time of 30.52, and Abby Friend finished 26th with a time of 35.36.
400 – Meters: Abby Grillo finished 1^st place with an IU program record time of 1:00.46, Jayla Gross finished 5^th with a time of 1:07.09, Kimberly Alvarez finished 8^th with a time of 1:08.12, and Aubrey Bickford finished 12^th with a time of 1:11.47.
800 – Meters: Jacquie Leone finished 5^th with a personal best time of 2:27.05, Jayla Gross finished 13th with a time of 2:42.69, and Kimberly Alvarez finished 21st with a time of 3:02.38.
1500 – Meters: Aubrey Donahue finished 5th with a personal best time of 5:07.90.
3000 – Meters: Aubrey Donahue finished 2nd with a time of 10:53.96.
100 - Meter Hurdles: Brianna Caulwell finished 6^th with a time of 17.25, and Nora Roe finished 8^th with a personal best time of 19.13.
4 X 100 Relay: The team of Samantha Rivera, Jillian Humphries, Nora Roe, and Brianna Caulwell finished 4^th with a time of 55.90.
4 x 400 Relay: The team of Abby Grillo, Jacquie Leone, Jillian Humphries, and Jayla Gross finished 2^nd with a time of 4:27.40.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED IN FIELD EVENTS

High Jump: Jillian Humphries finished 3^rd with a jump of 1.31 meters (4'3.5").
Pole Vault: Aubrey Bickford finished 7^th with a personal best vault of 2.95 meters (9'8").
Long Jump: Samantha Rivera finished 19^th with a personal best jump of 4.19 meters (13'9"), and Abigail Friend finished 25th with a jump of 3.25 meters (10'8").
Shot Put: Julianne Frederick finished 13^th with a throw of 8.10 meters (26'7"), Maggie Friend finished 21^st with a throw of 7.70 meters (25'3.25"), and Joanie Lauer finished 26^th with a throw of 6.59 meters (21'7.5").
Discus: Maggie Friend finished 9^th with a personal best throw of 28.12 meters (92'.3"), and Joanie Lauer finished 19^th with a personal best throw of 23.16 meters (76'0").
Hammer: Maggie Friend finished 15^th with an IU program record throw of 25.03 meters (82'1"), Joane Lauer finished 20^th with a throw of 21.92 meters (71'11"), and Julianne Frederick finished 22nd with a throw of 17.55 meters (57'7").
Javelin: Maggie Friend finished 7^th with a throw of 27.71 meters (90'11"), Jillian Humphries finished 21^st with a throw of 18.62 meters (61'1").
