IMMACULATA, Pa. – The Immaculata women's track and field team came in third place at the Atlantic East Conference Championships on Saturday and Sunday at Draper Walsh Stadium at Immaculata. The Mighty Macs earned 117 points, highlighted by multiple gold, silver, and bronze medals in track and field events.

HOW IT HAPPENED IN TRACK EVENTS

• 100m: Samantha Rivera finished 11^th with a personal best time of 14.17.
• 200m: Abby Grillo finished 9^th with a time of 27.19, Kimberly Alvarez finished 16^th with a time of 29.01, and Aubrey Bickford finished 19th with a time of 30.00.
• 400m: Abby Grillo earned the silver medal with a time of 58.99, and Kimberly Alvarez finished 10^th with a time of 1:07.78.
• 100m Hurdles: Brianna Caulwell earned the gold medal with a personal best time of 16.49.
• 400m Hurdles: Brianna Caulwell finished 5^th with a personal best time of 1:17.52.
• 800m: Abby Grillo won the gold medal, finishing with an IU program record time of 2:12.97; Jayla Gross finished 7^th with a time of 2:35.27, and Jacquie Leone finished 8th with a time of 2:36.57.
• 1500m: Jacquie Leone won the gold medal with a time of 5:06.52, and Aubrey Donahue earned the bronze medal, finishing with a time of 5:10.50.
• 5000m: Aubrey Donahue earned the gold medal, finishing with a time of 18:58.29, and Breanne Dymek finished 5^th with a time of 21:47.65.
• 10000m: Aubrey Donahue won the gold medal, finishing with a time of 39:34.05, and Breanne Dymek finished 4^th with a time of 45:21.99.
• 4x100m Relay: The team of Samantha Rivera, Aubrey Bickford, Kimberly Alvarez, and Brianna Caulwell finished 4^th with a time of 53.34.
• 4x400m Relay: The team of Jillian Humphries, Jayla Gross, Jacquie Leone, and Abby Grillo won the bronze medal with a time of 4:16.60.

 
HOW IT HAPPENED IN FIELD EVENTS

• High Jump: Jillian Humphries won the gold medal with a personal best jump of 1.53 meters.
• Pole Vault: Aubrey Bickford won the gold medal with a vault of 2.75 meters.
• Long Jump: Samantha Rivera finished 7^th with a jump of 4.07 meters, and Abby Friend finished 12^th with a jump of 3.61 meters.
• Shot Put: Julianne Frederick finished 6^th with a personal best throw of 9.86 meters, and Maggie Friend finished 8^th with a throw of 9.77 meters.
• Discus: Maggie Friend finished 4^th with a personal best throw of 31.07 meters, and Joanie Lauer finished 15^th with a throw of 20.39 meters.
• Javelin: Maggie Friend finished 5^th with a personal best throw of 30.39 meters, Jillian Humphries finished 12th with a throw of 19.02 meters, and Joanie Lauer finished 15^th with a personal best throw of 15.41 meters.
• Hammer: Maggie Friend won the silver medal with an IU program record throw of 34.72 meters, and Joanie Lauer finished 9^th with a throw of 22.95 meters.

 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• Immaculata had seven event wins.
• Dominated in Distance with Aubrey Donahue winning the 10000 meters, and Jacquie Leone winning the 5000 meters, with Donahue taking the bronze medal.
• Abby Grillo broke her own IU program record in the 400m, and Maggie Friend broke her own IU program record in the hammer throw.

• Following the conclusion of today's championships, the Immaculata women's track and field team honored seniors Samantha Rivera, Kimberly Alvarez, and Jillian Humphries for their hard work and dedication to the track and field program.
