Women's Basketball Visits Marymount for an AEC Showdown on Wednesday

WHAT TO KNOW
  • The Immaculata women's basketball team (20-3, 12-0 AEC) is on the road on Wednesday as they visit Marymount for an Atlantic East Conference game at 6 p.m.
  • Immaculata defeated Centenary 85-57 on Senior Day on Saturday at Alumnae Hall in their last game.
  • Marymount (12-11, 9-3 AEC) defeated Pratt Institute 69-46 in an AEC home game on Saturday.
 
SERIES HISTORY
  • Wednesday marks the 17th meeting between Immaculata and Marymount in a series that began in 1985 and resumed in 2019 with the formation of the Atlantic East Conference.

  • Carly Coleman earned Atlantic East Conference Player of the Week Honors after recording her 15th and 16th double-doubles of the season last week. Coleman had 19 points and a career-high 19 rebounds on Wednesday vs Marywood and had 18 points and 11 rebounds vs Centenary on Saturday.
  • Abby Grillo was named to the Atlantic East Conference Weekly Honor Roll after a strong week for the Mighty Macs. Grillo totaled 35 points, eight rebounds, five assists, and six steals, highlighting her impact on both ends of the floor. In Wednesday's victory over Marywood, she recorded 16 points, four rebounds, four assists, and three steals. She followed that effort with 19 points and four rebounds against Marywood.
  • Riley Cassidy scored 16 points, with seven rebounds, two assists, and a blocked shot on her Senior Day vs Centenary. She was a plus-33 for the game.
  • Olivia Ettorre scored 11 points, with four rebounds, six assists, and two steals on her Senior Day vs Centenary. She scored 12 points, including a pair of three-pointers in the third quarter, with four rebounds, two blocked shots, and a steal vs Marywood.
  • Sabrina Little provided a spark off the bench for Immaculata, scoring 14 points off the bench, shooting 5-8 from the field vs Marywood, and 10 points, with three rebounds, four assists, one steal, and drawing three charging fouls. Little was a plus 36 for the game vs Centenary.
  • Immaculata is scoring 74.2 points per game and is allowing 58.2. The Mighty Macs are shooting 41.5% from the field, 30.7% from three-point range, and 70.9% at the free-throw line.
 
SCOUTING MARYMOUNT
  • Chandler Eddleton averages 16.8 points per game and 6.4 rebounds per game. Eddleton scored 17 points and had 11 rebounds vs Pratt on Saturday. She had 19 points and 13 rebounds against Gwynedd Mercy on Wednesday.
  • Kaylah Barr averages 14 points per game and 4.8 rebounds per game. She scored 18 points in the Saints' win over Pratt on Saturday.
  • Cara Vollmer averages 11.3 points per game and 28 steals. She scored 14 points vs Pratt on Saturday.
  • Catie Kolwey averages 10.8 points per game and a team high of 9.9 rebounds per game. She had 10 rebounds in each of the Saints' two games last week.
  • Marymount is scoring 62.5 points per game and is allowing 60.3.
 
AEC PLAYOFF PICTURE
  • Immaculata clinched the AEC Regular Season Championship on Saturday and will be the 1st seed and will have home court advantage in the AEC Tournament.
  • Marymount is in second place with a 9-3 record. Marwood is third at 7-5, and Neumann is in fourth place at 6-6.
  • Centenary and Saint Elizabeth are 5-7, and Gwynedd Mercy is 4-8, and remain in contention for the fifth playoff spot.
  • Immaculata will host their Semifinal at Alumnae Hall on Wednesday, February 25, vs the winner of the First Round Game between the 4th and 5th seeds.
