WHAT TO KNOW
  • The Immaculata women's basketball team (19-3, 11-0 AEC) returns to Alumnae Hall on Saturday afternoon to host Centenary in Atlantic East Conference action.
  • Saturday is Senior Day as Immaculata will honor its seniors, Riley Cassidy (Ocean City, N.J. / Episcopal Academy), and Olivia Ettorre (Mickleton, N.J. / Kingsway Regional) before the game.

  • Junior forward Vatijah Davis leads Centenary's offense, averaging 20.5 points per game and 11.1 rebounds per game. Davis has team highs in steals with 57 and blocked shots with 22. She scored 18 points in the previous meeting with Immaculata on January 17.
  • Freshman guard Ashanti Dewalt is averaging 6.8 points per game and 3.4 rebounds per game. Dewalt scored 14 points vs Immaculata on January 17.
  • Kayla Sampong is averaging 6.6 points per game and 4.4 rebounds per game. Sampong scored 13 points in the earlier meeting with Immaculata.
  • Centenary is scoring 64 points per game and is allowing 62.8. They are shooting 37.7% from the field, 22.8% from three-point territory, and are shooting 68.3% from the free-throw line.
 
CHASING HISTORY
  • The Mighty Macs are looking to reach 20 wins for the second consecutive season.
  • The last time Immaculata reached 20 wins in back-to-back seasons was 1975-76 and 1976-77 under Hall of Fame coach Cathy Rush.
 
AEC PLAYOFF RACE
  • With Wednesday's win, Immaculata clinched home-court advantage for the Atlantic East Conference Tournament Semifinals and earned a bye.
  • The Mighty Macs will host the semifinals on Wednesday, February 25, at Alumnae Hall.
  • Immaculata's magic number to clinch the AEC Regular Season Championship and secure home-court throughout the tournament is one.
  • Marymount sits second, Marywood third, while Centenary, Saint Elizabeth, and Neumann are tied for fourth through sixth. Gwynedd Mercy remains in contention for one of the five tournament spots.
