Women’s Basketball Hosts Pratt on Saturday Afternoon in AEC Matchup

WHAT TO KNOW
  • The Immaculata women's basketball team (13-3, 5-0 AEC) returns to Alumnae Hall on Saturday afternoon to host Pratt Institute in an Atlantic East Conference matchup at 1 p.m.
  • The Mighty Macs enters the contest riding momentum after a hard-fought 63-60 victory over Marymount on Wednesday night.
  • Pratt (1-12, 0-5 AEC) comes to Immaculata following a 61-50 road loss at Saint Elizabeth.
 
SERIES HISTORY
  • Saturday's game marks the first-ever meeting between Immaculata and Pratt in women's basketball.
 
MIGHTY MAC NOTES
  • Carly Coleman recorded her ninth double-double of the season with 22 points and 10 rebounds, adding four blocks, four steals, and three assists against Marymount. Her pull-up jumper with 15 seconds remaining gave Immaculata the lead for good.
  • Abby Grillo contributed 12 points, two rebounds, four assists, and a steal. She knocked down back-to-back three-pointers in the third quarter to ignite an Immaculata run.
  • Riley Cassidy scored 10 points while shooting 2-for-3 from beyond the arc, adding four rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Her energy plays late in the fourth quarter helped seal the win.
  • Olivia Ettorre finished with seven points, two rebounds, and two assists. She drew a key offensive foul on Marymount's final possession and sealed the victory with two free throws with five seconds remaining.
  • Meg Robbins added six points, eight rebounds, three blocks, and a steal.
  • Immaculata also received strong contributions off the bench from Sabrina Little, Keira Benoit, Emma Wagner, and Morgan Robinson.
 
SCOUTING PRATT
  • Fifth year guard Kylie Grant leads the Cannoneers with 16.0 points per game while also averaging 9.1 rebounds. She scored season-high 35 points against Keystone on December 13.
  • Sophomore forward Anabela averages 13.3 points and a team-high 12.8 rebounds per game, posting a season-best 23 points on Wednesday versus Saint Elizabeth.
  • Fifth year forward, Lola Mactavish averages 6.6 points and 3.5 rebounds, with a season-high 16 points against Centenary on January 14.
  • Pratt averages 45.5 points per game while allowing 67.3. 
  • The Cannoneers are shooting 28.9% from the field, 14.4% from three-point range, and 58.6% from the free-throw line.
 
FIFTY WINS
  • Head Coach Brittany Whalen earned her 50th career win as Immaculata's head coach with Wednesday's victory over Marymount. In her third season at the helm, Whalen has a 50-18 record since taking over the program in 2023.

SABRINA LITTLE HONORED BY HOLY SPIRIT HIGH SCHOOL
  • Sabrina Little was honored by her alma mater, Holy Spirit High School, on Thursday evening as her No. 10 jersey was officially retired. Little completed her high school career as Holy Spirit's all-time leading scorer, amassing 1,532 career points. Congratulations to Sabrina on a well-deserved honor!
