WHAT TO KNOW
  • The Immaculata University men's volleyball team returns to action on Wednesday, January 21, when it travels to The University at Valley Forge for a non-conference matchup. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.
  • The Mighty Macs enter the contest looking to bounce back after opening the 2026 season against Randolph-Macon, a program that received votes in the NCAA Division III AVCA Top 20 preseason poll. Despite the 3–0 setback, Immaculata showed resilience throughout the match, particularly in the opening and closing sets, and gained valuable early-season experience.
  • Wednesday's contest marks Valley Forge's season opener. Although this matchup is non-conference, the two teams will meet again later in the season in United East Conference play.

  • Luke Dortenzo | S Made his collegiate debut at setter, posting 14 assists, three kills, and eight digs. Tasked with directing the offense in just his second career match.
  • J.P. Farrely | L Anchored the back row in his Mighty Mac debut, finishing with eight digs and one assist. Expected to play a key role in serve receive and defensive consistency.
  • Jordan Brown | MH Added three kills in the opener and provides a steady middle presence at the net, both offensively and defensively.

  • Michael Prall | DS Served four straight points in the first set against Randolph-Macon to keep the Mighty Macs within one early, providing a spark off the bench.
SCOUTING VALLEY FORGE
  • The Patriots welcomed a new head coach in 2026, Taylor Dafoe who coached the Valley Forge Women's team in the fall.
  • The Patriots will rely on returning players Drew White, Chris Brown, Ty Martin, William Schmidheini, Isiah Reece, and Jack Woekenberg for veteran leadership.

UNITED EAST CONFERENCE
  • Immaculata will open United East Conference play on March 3, when they will host Gallaudet at Alumnae Hall for a 7 p.m. match.
