Women's Volleyball Travels to Arcadia for a Thursday Night Match

WHAT TO KNOW

After securing their first win of the season last night, the Immaculata Women's Volleyball team (1-1) will visit Arcadia for a non-conference match this evening.
Immaculata defeated Delaware Valley University in five sets 25-20, 17-25, 25-15, 22-25, 15-12 for Mary Kirchner's first win as Immaculata's Head Coach.
Arcadia returns to Alumni Gymnasium for their 2025 home opener tonight after going 1-3 on their season-opening trip to Texas.

SERIES HISTORY

Immaculata and Arcadia are meeting for the ninth time in their series that began in 2007.
Immaculata is 2-6 all-time vs Arcadia.

LAST MEETING

Immaculata defeated Arcadia 3-1 (25-22, 25-23, 22-25, 25-19) in their last meeting on September 13, 2014, at Alumnae Hall.
Jamie Romback had 13 kills, Maranda Jones had 21 assists, Arden Vizzard had 19 digs, and Molly Truitt had five service aces and 15 digs for the Mighty Macs.

MIGHTY MAC NOTES

Damani Myers led Immaculata with 14 kills and four total blocks, and she had 11 digs.
Mia Esposito had 13 kills and three total blocks.
Emma Hodgson had nine kills and a solo block.
Angelica Santini Bulerin had 24 assists and seven digs.
Lauren Gartman led the Mighty Macs defense with 14 digs.

SCOUTING ARCADIA

Arcadia dropped the first three matches of their season opening trip to Texas falling to Concordia of Texas in their first match 3-1, Austin College in their second match 3-0, Howard Payne in their third match 3-0, and earned their first win of the season at University of Dallas 3-0.
Junior middle blocker Chana Rothschild leads the Knights with 29 kills, including 13 in the win over Dallas.
Sophomore Outside Hitter Julia Archelle has 19 kills.
Sophomore setter Bryana Saenz 77 assists, including 32 in the win at University of Dallas.
First-year outside hitter Alliy Kulas leads Arcadia with 29 digs averaging 2.23 digs per set.

A HOUSE DIVIDED

Tonight's match will be a family affair, as Immaculata Head Coach Mary Kirchner will be coaching against her daughter, Isabel Kirchner, who is the full-time assistant coach for Arcadia.

UP NEXT

The Immaculata Women's Volleyball team will return home to Alumnae Hall on Wednesday, September 10, when the host Bryn Mawr College at 7 p.m.
