Women's Tennis Set to Host Kean in Fall Home Opener This Saturday

WHAT TO KNOW

Immaculata Women's Tennis (1-0) returns to the court on Saturday at 12 p.m., hosting Kean University in their fall home opener.
The Mighty Macs are coming off a strong start to the season, defeating Cairn University 5-2 in last weekend's opener.
Saturday's match will mark the season's debut for Kean, as they begin their fall schedule.

SERRIES HISTORY

This will be the first-ever meeting between Immaculata and Kean in women's tennis.

MIGHTY MAC NOTES

Elizabeth Madsen led the way in the season opener, earning a straight-sets singles win (6-2, 6-2) and teaming with Laura Pharo for a 6-4 doubles victory.
Pharo also secured a hard-fought singles win, rallying for a 6-4, 2-6, 10-6 victory.
Delaney Brown and Hailey Elwell dropped a tightly contested doubles match 6-7 and came up short in their singles matches — both will look to bounce back against Kean.
Sophia Carey and Athena Kritikson were awarded wins via forfeit in the opener and are expected to make their season match debuts on Saturday.

SCOUTING KEAN

Kean women's tennis returns after going 11-4 in their 2024-25 season. They were 1-3 in the NJAC play and lost to TCNJ in the NJAC Tournament 4-0.
Junior Delali Doe won three matches at #2 singles. Won three matches at #3 doubles.
Junior Gigi Guitierez NJAC Player of the Week (4/29). Won five matches at #5 singles. Won five matches at #3 doubles. Went 2-0 with Emily Lari at #3 doubles.
Sophomore Gulnora Kuchkorova won four matches at #4 singles. Won two matches at #1 and #2 doubles. Went 1-1 with Maria Torres at #1 doubles.

The Immaculata women's tennis team will be back in action on Monday, September 29, when they host Lancaster Bible College at the IU Tennis Courts at 3:30 p.m.
