CENTER VALLEY, Pa.- On Tuesday afternoon, the Immaculata women's tennis team fell to DeSales 4-3 in a tightly contested non-conference match. DeSales won two out of three doubles matches to take a 1-0 lead into the singles competition. Immaculata and DeSales split the six singles matches with each winning three. The point earned from doubles provided DeSales with their margin of victory.  With the loss Immaculata falls to 2-6 overall, and they are 0-2 in Atlantic East Conference play. DeSales improves to 4-6 overall, and they are 0-0 in MAC Freedom play. 

How it Happened 

Doubles 

• The first doubles team of Pamela Kontaras and Delaney Brown lost their doubles match 0-6. 

• The second doubles team of Sophia Carey and Hailey Elwell won their doubles match 6-4. 

• The third doubles team of Audrey Keen and Elizabeth Madsen lost their doubles match 1-6. 

• DeSales led 1-0 after the doubles matches. 

Singles 

• Pamela Kontaras lost the first singles match 2-6, 6-7 (5-7). 

• Delaney Brown lost the second singles match 2-6, 3-6. 

• Sophia Carey won the third singles match 6-3, 3-6, 10-4. 

• Hailey Elwell won the fourth singles match 6-4, 6-0. 

• Audrey Keen lost the fifth singles match 4-6, 3-6. 

• Elizabeth Madsen won the sixth singles match 6-2, 7-5. 

• Teams split the singles matches 3-3. 

DeSales won the match 4-3 with the one point earned from doubles.
