LANGHORNE, Pa.- The Immaculata women's tennis team earned a 5-2 win at Cairn in their fall season opener on Saturday. Immaculata carried a 1-0 lead into the singles matches after taking two of three doubles matches. Elizabeth Madsen and Laura Pharo won the second doubles match 6-4, and Immaculata won the third doubles match by forfeit. Elizabeth Madsen and Laura Pharo each won their singles matches, as Immaculata took four of six singles matches to earn the 5-2 victory.
 
With their win Immaculata is 1-0 overall, and with the loss Cairn falls to 0-2 overall.
 
DOUBLES RESULTS

• Delaney Brown and Hailey Elwell lost the first doubles match 6-7.
• Elizabeth Madsen and Laura Pharo won the second doubles match 6-4.
• Athena Kritikson and Sophia Carey won the third doubles match via forfeit.
• Immaculata led 1-0 after the double matches.

 
SINGLES RESULTS

• Delaney Brown lost the first singles match 0-6, 0-6.
• Hailey Elwell lost the second singles match 3-6, 4-6.
• Elizabeth Madsen won the third singles match 6-2, 6-2.
• Laura Pharo won the fourth singles match 6-4, 2-6, 10-6.
• Sophia Carey won fifth singles via forfeit.
• Athena Kritikson won the sixth singles match via forfeit.

Immaculata went 4-2 in singles to win the match 5-2.
