Box Score LANGHORNE, Pa.- The Immaculata men's volleyball team fell to Cairn on the road Tuesday night 3-0 (21-25, 23-25, 22-25). Josh McGurl led Immaculata with 13 kills. Joe Martell handed out 28 assists, and Matthew Pfister had 10 digs.
With the loss Immaculata falls to 5-7 overall. With the win, Cairn improves to 2-6 overall, and they are 1-1 in United East Conference play.
HOW IT HAPPENED

Set 2: In the second set, the teams exchanged points early in the set. Nate Bailey got a kill, and served a point as Immaculata took a 10-8 lead. Bailey got another kill to tie the score at 16-16. Cairn used a five-point run to take a 21-15 lead. Immaculata came back with a four-point run that included a kill by Josh McGurl and a service ace from Brandon Lieberman. Immaculata got another kill from McGurl to tie the score at 23-23. Cairn would get the final two points to take set two 25-23.

Set 3: In the third set a Josh McGurl kill to cut Cairn's lead to 6-5. Cairn responded with three straight points. Joe Martell served consecutive points to pull Immaculata within one point at 10-9. The teams would exchange points and Immaculata got kills from McGurl and Christian Lee. Trailing 23-19, Josh McGurl got a kill, and Brandon Lieberman served consecutive points to pull Immaculata within one point at 23-22. Cairn would close out the set 25-22 and take the match 3-0.
