  • The Immaculata men's volleyball team (5-1) is off to the best start in program history will begin a busy week visiting the University of Valley Forge on Tuesday evening.

  • The Valley Forge Patriots have opened their season winning three out of four matches. They defeated PSU-Schuylkill 3-0 in their opener on 1/24. They won at Bryn Athyn on 1/29 3-0, before falling to Lehman at home 3-1 on 1/31. They defeated Yeshiva in their last match 3-0 at home on 2/03.
  • Junior outside hitter Toby Harris leads Valley Forge with 37 kills, averaging 2.85 kills per set.
  • Junior outside hitter Clay Confer has 35 kills, averaging 2.69 kills per set.
  • Freshman setter Zoe Lor has a team-high 40 assists, averaging 3.08 assists per set.
  • Senior middle blocker Nathan Whisman has a team-high of 15 digs.
 
MIGHTY MAC OF THE WEEK
  • Josh McGurl was named the Mighty Mac of the Week by the Immaculata Athletics Sports Information and Athletic Communications office.
  • McGurl helped lead the Mighty Macs to win all three matches this week with a combined 45 kills, 12 service aces, two total blocks, and 28 digs. McGurl had 17 kills, and 10 digs in the win over Cairn University on February 4th. He set an IU program record at Bryn Athyn on February 5th with seven service aces, to go along with 10 kills, and 10 digs in the win over the Lions. On Friday evening, he helped lead Immaculata to a five-set come-from-behind win over Neumann with 18 kills, five service aces, and eight digs. 
  • This is the second consecutive week that a member of the men's volleyball team has been named Mighty Mac of the Week.
 
UP NEXT
  • The Immaculata men's volleyball team will back in action on Friday, February 14th when they host Virginia Wesleyan (6-2, 1-1 ODAC) at Alumnae Hall at 7:00 p.m.
  • On Saturday, February 15th Immaculata will travel to Eastern University for two matches in a Quad Match. Immaculata will play the host Eastern at 2:00 p.m. and the University of Valley Forge at 4:00 p.m.
