Men's Volleyball Hosts Bryn Athyn for Season Opener on Tuesday

THE STORYLINE
  • The Immaculata men's volleyball team opens their 2025 season on Tuesday, when they host Bryn Athyn College at Alumnae Hall at 7:00 PM.
  • The 2025 season will be a season of transition for the Immaculata men's volleyball team as they welcome new head coach Josh Elliott.
  • The 2025 season will be Immaculata's final season as an independent team, as they will join the United East Conference for men's volleyball in 2026.
  • Bryn Athyn (1-1) enters Tuesday's match after splitting their season opening tri-match on Saturday. Bryn Athyn defeated Pratt Institute 3-1 and fell to Lehman College 3-2.

  • Michael Prall registered 77 kills and 11 service aces in his freshman season in 2024. Defensively Prall had 86 digs, and 10 blocks.
  • Brandon Lieberman had 72 kills, and nine service aces in 2024. On the defensive side, Liberman registered 95 digs, and 10 blocks.
  • Ethan Ngo registered 25 digs during his freshman season in 2024.
  • Christian Lee had 12 kills, two service aces, seven digs, and five blocks in 2024.
  • Evan Timlin had five kills, one service ace, seven digs, and two blocs in 2024.
  • Freshman Lucas McNeil, Jordan Brown, Noah Zunski, and Nate Bailey will look to make an immediate impact for the Mighty Macs.
SCOUTING BRYN ATHYN
  • Freshman middle hitter Miles Shepard leads Bryn Athyn with 46 kills. He had 23 kills in each of the Lion's matches last Saturday. Shepard added two service aces and has a team-highs with 22 digs and seven blocks.
  • Sophomore outside hitter Bryan Choute has 36 kills, including 22 in their win over Pratt on Saturday. Choute has three service aces.
  • Senior setter Laban Grenzlinger has a team-high 55 assists, including 28 in their match with Lehman on Saturday. He added three service aces, and six digs.
  • As a team Bryn Athyn is averaging 10.4 kills per set, and their opponents are averaging 9.2 kills per set.
 
WELCOME COACH JOSH ELLIOTT
  • Josh Elliott was named the second head coach in Immaculata Men's Volleyball history on January 10, 2025.
  • Elliott played NCAA Division III men's volleyball at Emerson College in Boston earning all-conference honors his senior year. Elliott played beach and indoor volleyball for Newcastle University in the United Kingdom while working on his master's degree. While at Newcastle Elliott played for Team Sunderland in the United Kingdom's Professional Super League.
  • Elliott a native of Swedesboro, N.J. and played volleyball at Salesianum School in Wilmington, DE.
  • Elliott comes to Immaculata after serving as the Head Women's Volleyball Coach at Delaware County Community College a NJCAA Division III program. Elliott as the Head Coach helped restart the program post pandemic. Elliott also serves as a Head Coach in the Liberty Belle's Volleyball Club, one of the oldest clubs on the East Coast.
 
UP NEXT
  • The Immaculata men's volleyball team will be back in action on Saturday, February 1st, when they travel to Washington D.C. to participate in tri-match hosted by Gallaudet University. Immaculata will play Randolph-Macon at 2:00 pm, and they play the host Gallaudet at 4:00 p.m.
