GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa.- The Immaculata University women's track and field team competed on day one of the Atlantic East Conference Championships at Gwynedd Mercy on Friday afternoon.
After the first day of competition, Immaculata currently sits in fifth place with 15 points. Marymount is in first place with 89 points. Marywood is in second place with 26 points. Neumann is in third place with 17 points, and Gwynedd Mercy in fourth place with 16 points.
Jayla Gross set an Immaculata program record in the 100-meter dash preliminary round.

In the 100-meter dash preliminary round, Jayla Gross finished third to qualify for the finals with an Immaculata program record time of 12.91 seconds.
In the 100-meter hurdles, Emily Kipers finished sixth with a time of 21.16.
In the 200-meter dash preliminary round, Jayla Gross finished sixth to qualify for the finals with a time of 27.31. Kimberly Alvarez finished eighth to qualify for the finals with a time of 28.46 seconds.
In the Javelin, Maggie Friend won the silver medal with a throw of 22.14 meters or 92'04". Emily Ettien medaled for a second straight year earning the bronze medal with a throw of 27.08 meters or 88'10".
