GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa.- The Immaculata University Women's Track and Field program had a strong showing in the Atlantic East Conference Championship meet. The team placed fourth overall with 70 points, just five points shy of Pratt Institute for third place. The meet was held on Saturday, May 3rd and Sunday, May 4th, with Finals taking place on Sunday.

Track Events

• Aubrey Donahue and Emily McGonigle entered in the 1500 meter run. Donahue brought home gold and 10 points to the team with her time of 5:08.24. McGonigle placed 14th crossing the line at 7:23.99.
• Ella Bonaventure showed out in the 100 meter dash, hitting a PR of 15.96 seconds leading her to 13th place.
• Three strong Mighty Macs took on the 800m: Mary Steinicker left her mark placing 1st overall with her time of 2:30.26. Jacqueline Leone followed shortly behind placing 3rd overall with her time of 2:31.94. Jayla Gross crossed the finish line at 2:35.41 placing her at 4th overall. The Mighty Macs brought a total of 20 points to the women's overall score.
• Mary Steinnicker placed 4th (1:01.11) overall bringing home 2 points for the Mighty Macs. Jayla Gross crossed the finish line at 1:04.62 placing her in 7th overall. Samantha Rivera placed 10th in the 400 meter, crossing the finish line at 1:09.98 (a personal record). Shannon Barycki also with a personal record during this race placed 11th finishing with the time of 1:11.67.
• Breanne Dymek competed in the 400m hurdles. She finished in 6th place with a time of 2:00.14 scoring 1 point for Immaculata.
• Both Ella Bonaventure and Samantha Rivera took on the 200 meter dash, as Bonaventure placed 14th with the time of 33.80  and Rivera placed 10th with the time of 29.79. Both hit a PR during this race.
• Both Aubrey Donahue and Breanne Dymek took on the challenging 10000m. Donahue showed her skills by placing 3rd overall—scoring 6 pts for the team—and bringing home a medal with her time of 42:45.48. Dymek had a strong race by crossing the finish line at 51:33.93 and placing 8th.
• Aubrey Donahue and Breanne Dymek competed once again together in the 5000m. Donahue brought home silver and 8 points to the Might Mac's overall score. She finished sub 20 (19:13.89) leading her to 2nd place overall. Dymek had another strong race crossing the line 24:44.09 leading her to 9th place.
• The women's 4x1 meter A team (Rivera, Humphries, Barycki, and Steinbicker) placed 5th overall scoring 2 points for the team with their time of 55.89 seconds.
• The women's 4x400 meter A team (Gross, Humphries, Leone, Steinbicker) crushed it by placing 2nd with the time of 4:19.05.They earned 8 points.

Field Events

• In the shot put, Julianne Frederick and Maggie Friend threw for Immaculata. Frederick placed 10th with a throw of 8.41 meters and Friend placed 11th, throwing 7.85 meters.
• Maggie Friend placed 8th in javelin, throwing 26.63 meters.
• In women's discus, Maggie Friend threw 26.36 meters, earning her 6th place. She scored 1 point.
• In high jump, Jillian Humphries placed 1st, clearing a height of 1.40 meters.She earned gold and brought 10 points to the teams overall score.
• Samantha Rivera left her mark in the long jump, marking 3.95 meters and claiming 11th place.
