WEST CHESTER, Pa.- The Immaculata University women's track & field team competed in the Last Chance Invitational hosted by West Chester University on Friday evening.
As a team Immaculata finished ninth out of 13 teams in the event. In the 400-meter run both Mary Steinbicker and Jayla Gross finished with times under the previous Immaculata program record.
Immaculata Results
In the 400-meter run, Mary Steinbicker finished 2nd with an IU program record time of 1:01.33. Jayla Gross finished fourth with a personal best time of 1:01.56 which is the second fastest time in IU program history.
In the 800-meter run, Samantha Rivera finished 8th with a personal best time of 2:59.52. Emily McGonigle finished 12th with a time of 3:26.86.
In the 1500-meter run, Emily McGonigle finished 13th with a time of 6:38.54.
In the 100-meter hurdles, Camryn Oliver finished 7th with a time of 22.22.
In the javelin, Maggie Friend finished 8th with a throw of 24.17 meters or 79'3". Macie Watkins finished 14th with a throw of 16.60 meters or 54'5".

The Immaculata University women's track & field team will be back in action on Friday and Saturday May 3rd & 4th when they compete in the Atlantic East Conference Championships at Gwynedd Mercy University. The Championships will begin on Friday at 2:00 PM and will begin on Saturday at 10:00 AM.
