WEST CHESTER, Pa.- The Immaculata University women's track & field squad opened their 2024 spring season at the Purple and Gold Invitational hosted by West Chester University on a rain-soaked Saturday. Immaculata finished 8th out of 15 teams, in the event cut short by torrential rainstorms. The field for the event included Division II and Division III schools.
Jayla Gross had the top performance for Immaculata, finishing 4th in the 100-meter dash with an Immaculata program record time of 13.15.
In the 200-meter dash, Kimberly Alvarez finished 4th with a time of 30.12, and Faith Gillin finished 5th with a time of 33.63.
In the 400-meter run, Olivia Morris finished 12th with a time of 1:17.60.
In the 1500-meter run, Emily McGonigle finished 36th with a time of 7:03.05.
In the 100-meter hurdles, Camryn Oliver finished 4th with a time of 22.58.

The Immaculata University women's track & field team will be back in action on Friday, April 5th, and Saturday, April 6th when they will compete in the Ursinus College Track & Field Festival.
