Women's Basketball Visits Arcadia on Saturday Afternoon

THE STORYLINE
  • The Immaculata women's basketball team (7-2) will be back in action on Saturday, December 14th when they visit Arcadia University.
  • Immaculata enters Saturday's game after defeating Widener 60-51 at the Schwartz Center on December 7th.
  • Arcadia (5-3) enters Saturday's game after defeating John Jay College 63-51 on Monday night up in New York.
THE SERIES HISTORY
  • Immaculata and Arcadia are meeting for the 20th time in their series that began in 1967 and was resumed in 1995.
  • Immaculata is 11-8 all-time vs Arcadia. Arcadia has won the last three meetings.
LAST MEETING
  • Immaculata fell to Arcadia 76-61 at Alumnae Hall on November 29, 2023.
  • Tessa Liberatoscioli scored a career high of 18 points, with a career-high eight steals, three blocked shots, and three rebounds for the Mighty Macs.
  • Immaculata last visited Arcadia on November 22, 2016, falling to the Knights 80-58. Annie Kohutka led the Mighty Macs with 21 points that day.
MIGHTY MAC NOTES
  • Abigail Boyer scored a team-high 18 points shooting 4-7 from behind the arc in helping lead Immaculata to the come from behind win at Widener. Boyer shot 6-7 from the field, scoring 13 points in Immaculata's win over Rosemont on December 2nd.
  • Reese Mullins scored 15 points, with six rebounds, and had two steals in the win at Widener. Mullins scored nine points in the fourth quarter to help close out the win.
  • Tessa Liberatoscioli scored 14 points, with seven rebounds, and three steals in the win at Widener. Liberatoscioli had 11 rebounds, one blocked shot, and three steals at Albright on December 4th.
  • Carly Coleman scored six points, with eight rebounds, one blocked shot, and four steals vs Widener. She registered a double-double vs Albright on December 4th with 13 points and 10 rebounds to go along with four steals.
  • Olivia Ettorre hit a clutch three-pointer in the final minute of the third quarter vs Widener to cut Widener's lead to three points 41-38 entering the final quarter. Ettorre had five points in the game.
  • Alyssa Long had three steals, two rebounds, two points, and one assist off the bench for Immaculata in the Widener game.
SCOUTING ARCADIA
  • Junior guard Hanna Rhoades leads Arcadia's offense averaging 17.3 PPG. She is shooting 40.5% from the field, and 35.7% from behind the arc.
  • Junior guard/forward Delaney Bell is averaging 15.9 PPG and is averaging a team-high 8.1 RPG. She has a team-high 13 steals.
  • Graduate guard Scarlett Glasser-Nehls and first-year guard/forward Taylor Koenig are each averaging 9.4 PPG.
  • As a team Arcadia is shooting 36.4% from the field, 28.5% from behind the arc, and are shooting 79.1% from the charity stripe.
NUMBERS TO KNOW

WEEKLY HONORS
  • Three Immaculata players received Weekly Honors for their contributions to the Mighty Macs winning two-out of-three games this past week.
  • Tessa Liberatoscioli and Reese Mullins were named to the Atlantic East Conference Women's Basketball Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.
  • Abigail Boyer was named Mighty Mac of the Week.
