IMMACULATA, Pa.- Having won their last four games prior to the Holiday break, the Immaculata University women's basketball team (6-7) returns to action tonight as the Macs open Atlantic East Conference play when they visit defending conference champion Marymount University. Tip off is scheduled for 6:00 PM.
Series Information
In the all-time series between the schools, Marymount leads the series 8-3. Last season, the two schools played three times, with the home team winning each game. Immaculata defeated Marymount 61-54 on January 18, 2023, at Alumnae Hall, before falling to Marymount 72-58 on February 18, 2023.Â
The last time these two schools met was on February 22, 2023, in the Atlantic East Conference Semifinals with Marymount winning 66-35.
Mighty Mac Talk
Immaculata enters play on Wednesday evening after defeating Penn State Abington on December 20
th 72-65. The win completed a 4-0 run for Immaculata prior to the holiday break. The Mighty Macs were able to battle through a challenging non-conference schedule with a record of 6-7.
Immaculata has been led through this season by it's starting five, as three have averaged in double figures and a fourth averaging 9.2 per game.
Abigail Lentowski leads the team in scoring, averaging 15.6 points per game.
Reese Mullins is second averaging 11.1 points per game, and
Morgan Falcone is third averaging 10.4 points per game.
Tessa Liberatoscioli is averaging 9.2 points per game, but her main contributions have come on the defensive end. Liberatoscioli has been named Atlantic East Conference Defensive Player of the Week three times this season, averaging seven rebounds per game, and averaging 3.8 steals per game.
Abigail Boyer has averaged 5.4 points per game.
Immaculata has received strong play off the bench from
Olivia Ettorre who has also started a handful of games averaging 5.2 points per game.
Scouting Marymount
Marymount enters conference play with a record of 10-4 on the year. Marymount defeated King's College in their most recent game on December 30
th 74-38.
Marymount has been led this year by current Atlantic East Conference Player of the Week Chandler Eddleton who is averaging 19.8 points per game, with 8.1 rebounds per game, and 2.4 steals per game. Symantha Schackelford is averaging 14 points per game, with 3.6 rebounds per game, and 1.1 steals per game.
