GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa.- The Immaculata University men's basketball team fell at Gwynedd Mercy 74-58 on Saturday afternoon in an Atlantic East Conference matchup.
Dinero Washington led the Mighty Macs with 19 points.
Dylan Crews scored 11 points and added two steals.
Tyler Tillery registered a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Gregory Vlassopoulos had eight points, and
John Proctor had six points and eight rebounds.
In the first half
Dinero Washington scored on a layup, drawing the foul and completed the three-point play to give Immaculata a 9-5 lead.
John Proctor extended the lead to 11-5 with a jumper. Gwynedd Mercy would outscore Immaculata 15-8 over the final 14 minutes of the first half for a 33-21 lead.
In the second half, Immaculata scored early on a layup by
Tyler Tillery, but were unable to keep Gwynedd off the board on the defense.
Tyler Tillery hit a pair of free throws with 11:59 remaining to cut Gwynedd's lead to 49-42. Tillery followed with another layup, and
Dylan Crews scored on a driving layup to cut the lead to 51-48 with 10:14 remaining. Following a timeout, Gwynedd would go on to close out the win 74-58.
