Mighty Macs Talk

The Immaculata men's basketball team advanced to the Atlantic East Semifinals by defeating Cabrini 58-57 on Monday night. The Mighty Macs came from behind in the second half to defeat the Cavaliers.

"We are appreciative that we have had the opportunity to reach the AEC Semifinals the past three seasons "stated Head Coach Jayson Hyman. "We know we have a tough team to compete against tonight and look forward to the challenge."

The Mighty Macs have been led by Tyler Tillery who has averaged 10.2 points per game and scored 10 points vs. Cabrini on Monday night and Tim Schultice who has averaged 10.0 points per game and scored nine points on Monday night. John Proctor has averaged 9.9 points per game and led the Macs with 14 points on Monday night. Keith Farmer has a team leading 128 rebounds and is averaging 8.8 points per game. The Mighty Macs will also rely on contributions from Gregory Vlassopoulos, John Flood, Steven Dao, Brandon Perez, and Dez Murphy.

Despite having dropped both games in the regular season to Marymount Coach Hyman knows those results will not affect tonight's game.

" That is the fun in the journey of a season, trying to figure teams out" concluded Hyman. "I expect the guys to come out having learned from the mistakes of the past two games and bring new energy to this game and compete for an opportunity to advance."
