Box Score SCRANTON, Pa. – The Immaculata men's basketball team persevered a 13-point deficit at the half to defeat Marywood 67-62 on Thursday evening.

The Pacers took an early lead over the Mighty Macs, using the first five minutes of the contest, claiming a 15-2 lead. Over the next nine minutes of the half, the Macs responded by going on a 15-8 run of their own, narrowing the Pacers' lead to 23-17 with just over six minutes remaining on the half. The Pacers, however, shut the Macs down over the final six minutes, scoring nine points to the Macs' two to claim a 32-19 lead at the half.
At the half, the Macs were led in scoring by
Tyler Tillery, who scored six points while adding on three rebounds.
Tim Schultice, meanwhile, recorded five rebounds on the half while adding two points and one assist offensively.
Dylan Crews and
Asa Kitchen also contributed on the half, scoring four points each.
The Macs came out of the half with fire, going on a 16-7 run over the first six minutes to narrow the Pacers' lead to 39-33. Continuing their hot streak, the Macs kept the Pacers to two points over the next few minutes before Schultice tied the game up at 41-41 with just over 10 minutes remaining on the half.
With the score standing at 45-45 with seven minutes remaining,
Gregory Vlassopoulos dropped a three-pointer, giving the Macs their first lead of the night. Over the next six minutes, the Mighty Macs extended their lead, going on a 16-11 run, claiming a 64-56 advantage. Over the final minute of action, the Pacers converted on two three-pointers, but the Macs thwarted any attempt at a comeback at the charity stripe, securing the 67-62 victory.

Tim Schultice, meanwhile, scored 16 points for the Macs will recording a team-leading 11 rebounds. Freshman
Dylan Crews also contributed with 12 points on the night.
The Mighty Macs will return to action Saturday Night as they travel to Messiah for an 8:00 P.M. primetime matchup.
