Box Score HARRISONBURG, Va. – The Mighty Macs men's volleyball team kicked off their Continental Volleyball Conference schedule on Friday, dropping their match against Eastern Mennonite in a 3-0 sweep.
 
Down 6-3 early in set one, the Mighty Macs had an uphill battle from the get-go in set one. The Mighty Macs tied the game up at 15-15 on a kill from Bryce Wiltbank, the Royals regained their lead before the first set ended in a 25-21 decision.
 
In set two, the Macs were down 17-10 before finding their feet, catching to within three points at 24-21 before the Royals claimed set two with another 25-21 final score. The Mighty Macs continued to play from behind throughout set three.
 
Garrett Pepper led the Macs on the day with 12 kills and seven digs while Joe Martell recorded 21 assists.
 
The Mighty Macs will return to action tomorrow as they travel to Southern Virginia for a tri-match.
