Box Score CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – The Immaculata men's basketball team dropped a close 70-64 matchup against Wilson on Saturday.
Gregory Vlassopoulos scored 16 points on the contest as the Mighty Macs drop to 3-7 on the season.
Ten minutes into the first half, the Mighty Macs and Phoenix found themselves in a 16-16 battle in which neither team was willing to give up the advantage.
Dylan Crews then sank a three-pointer to begin what would be a six-point rally for the Mighty Macs. The run started a 25-16 run for the remainder of the half as the Macs took a 41-32 lead over the Phoenix.

Asa Kitchen led Immaculata with 11 points scored while also earning two assists. As a team, Immaculata shot 14-for-29 (48.3%) from the field as well as 7-for-12 (58.3%) from beyond the arc.
Gregory Vlassopouos scored four points to start the second half for the Macs before the Phoenix began to strike back. Over the first ten minutes of the half, the Phoenix slowly cut into the Macs' lead before taking the lead at 54-53 with just over nine minutes remaining on the half. Six minutes later, the Mighty Macs found themselves down nine as the Phoenix took a 67-58 lead. While the Mighty Macs attempted to make a comeback over the final three minutes, they would be unable to do so as the Phoenix claimed the 70-64 victory.
Vlassopoulos led the Mighty Macs on both sides of the ball, scoring 16 points while recording six rebounds on the game. Kitchen, meanwhile, dropped 14 points on the game while
Murad Preston recorded 10 points on the game. As a team, the Mighty Macs were outshot 20-49 (40.8%) to 18-39 (46.2%) from the field.
The Mighty Macs will return to action on December 30
th as they face Swarthmore College at home to round out the 2021 calendar year.
