Pa.- The Immaculata women's tennis team was back in action on Saturday afternoon opposite a challenging non-league foe in Moravian. Immaculata battled throughout but ultimately came up short falling by a final of 8-1.

How it happened:
In doubles play, the tandem of
Annamarie Degnan and
Morgan Jacobs fell by a final of 8-0 at first doubles while
Caleigh Masterman and
Elizabeth Lipscomb captured second doubles by a final of 8-5 for the lone point of the day for the Macs. At third doubles,
Kelly O'Brien and
Jessica Dougherty battled but fell by a final of 8-1 to send the match to singles with the Mighty Macs trailing 2-1.

At first singles, Masterman battled but fell by a final of 6-0, 6-3 while Jacob dropped her match by a final of 6-1, 6-1 in second singles. At third singles, Degnan fell to her foe by a final of 6-2, 6-0 while Lipscomb battled but ultimately fell 7-5, 6-0 in the fourth singles spot as well. Dougherty dropped fifth singles by a final of 6-3, 6-1 while O'Brien fell in the sixth and final singles spot by a final of 6-1, 6-2.

Immaculata will be back in action next Saturday afternoon as part of a busy home Saturday for the Mighty Macs as Penn State Harrisburg will pay the Mighty Macs a visit with that match set to begin at 12 p.m. on the Immaculata Tennis Courts.
