IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata softball team will embark on their quest for the first Atlantic East Conference Championship, a year winning the Colonial States Athletic Conference championship for the first time. The Mighty Macs are the second seed and will host No. 3 Cabrini and No. 5 Wesley in one double elimination pod, while No. 1 Neumann will host No. 4 Marywood, and No. 6 Gwynedd Mercy in the other double elimination pod. The winner of each pod will play next weekend in a three-game championship series

NEWS & NOTES
-The Mighty Macs enter this weekend having gone 3-1 against Wesley and Cabrini this season
-Against Wesley on April 18
th, the Mighty Macs defeated the Wolverines, 2-1, in the opener as senior Jess Bormann went the distance and
Keani Hindle hit a solo home run in the sixth inning to put the Macs up for good
-In game two, the Wolverines shut down the Mighty Mac offense and dealt the Macs a 4-1 defeat
-Against Cabrini this past Tuesday, the Mighty Macs were dominant in a sweep of Cabrini. In the opener, Bormann was outstanding, tossing a three hit shutout and the offense did enough to lead the Macs to a 3-0 victory
-In game two, the Mighty Mac offense put up a run in the first, two in the third, and three in the fifth to back junior
Michaela Petito on the mound to seal the victory
-In the other matchup, Cabrini swept Wesley in their matchups this season
