Box Score 2 IMMACULATA, Pa. - The Immaculata University men's volleyball team hosted the program's first ever tri-match Saturday afternoon in Alumnae Hall, as the Macs welcomed in Continental Volleyball Conference for Elizabethtown and Brooklyn College on the day. The Macs dropped both of their matches by 3-0 decisions.
Despite the results, Immaculata scored a season-high 22 points in the third set against Elizabethtown in an effort to send the match to a fourth set.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Mighty Macs were unable to overcome an early first set deficit, dropping the opener 25-6.
Garrett Pepper recorded a pair of kills in the set for the Macs.
-Pepper and
Kevin Hegarty registered kills in the second set, but their efforts were not enough to contain a strong showing from Elizabethtown in the second as the visitors took it 25-8.
-Immaculata put forth a strong effort in the third set, staying within the Blue Jays by two points in the latter stages of the third. Despite scoring a season-best 22 points in the set, the Macs ultimately fell 25-22.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Pepper notched a pair of kills in the opening set of the final match of the day, but the Bulldogs countered with a balanced attack to take the first set 25-13.
-The Macs were able to draw even with the Bulldogs in the early stages of the second set, but a a 10-0 run made all the difference despite kills from
Matthew Lynn and
Kevin Hegarty.
-IU got several solid plays at the net in the third set with blocks coming from
Bryce Wiltbank and
Jordan Geller, but the Macs could not overcome another deficit built up by Brooklyn early, falling 25-15
