Box Score BRYN MAWR, Pa.-Off the momentum of a strong performance at the Goucher open last weekend, the Immaculata women's tennis team was back in action on Saturday morning at Bryn Mawr. The Macs and Owls battled throughout the afternoon and the Macs emerged victorious by a final of 5-4 to record their first victory of the young season.

How it Happened:

• In doubles action, Bryn Mawr captured two of the three matches winning the first and third doubles matches while Caleigh Masterman and Elizabeth Lipscomb captured second doubles by a final of 8-3 to make the score 2-1 heading into singles play.
• In singles action, Masterman captured the first singles victory 6-1, 6-1 while Morgan Jacob won second singles 7-5, 7-6 to give Immaculata a slim lead. Annamarie Degnan followed this up with a three-set victory at third singles dropping the first set 1-6, before capturing the second and third sets 6-3, 6-4 to extend the lead. Lipscomb capped off the victory for Immaculata with a 6-2, 6-2 victory at fourth singles to lift Immaculata to the 5-4 victory. Jessica Dougherty and Kelly O'Brien were also in action dropping their fifth and sixth singles matches.

Immaculata will be back in action on Wednesday afternoon at Stockton with that match set to begin at 4 p.m.
