Box Score 2 IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Mighty Mac softball team (24-14, 17-5 CSAC) won their sixth and seventh consecutive games on Saturday afternoon to close out their regular season with a Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) sweep of Rosemont, both by scores of 8-0.

Dating back to yesterday, the Macs have only allowed one run in the past four games, and have now thrown three consecutive shutouts. They have clinched no worse than the third seed in the upcoming CSAC postseason, their 10
th straight, and they can move up to the two-seed and receive a bye to the double-elimination part of the tournament if Gwynedd Mercy sweeps Cabrini tomorrow. If not, the Macs will be the third seed and will host the sixth seed on Wednesday.

In the first game, freshmen
Emma Bischoff and
Renee DeAngelis combined on a four hit shutout with eight strikeouts, while freshman
Keani Hindle hit her fifth home run of the season, a grand slam in the third. In the second game, junior
Jessica Bormann tossed six shutout innings allowing just one hit and three strikeouts, and sophomore
Michaela Petito finished off the day with a scoreless frame, while sophomore
Ashley Rey continued her monster season with her third grand slam and ninth home run overall.

GAME 1
HOW IT HAPPENED
-Bischoff worked around lead-off singles in the first and second with four strikeouts total and finally settled in with a 1-2-3 inning in the third
-The Macs provided Bischoff with some support in the top of the third with a big inning to take control
-Rey drove in a run with a single and after senior
Annemarie Bartow singled to load the bases, Hindle stepped in and delivered a grand slam to left field for a 5-0 lead
-In the fourth, Bartow hit the 68
th double of her career to plate a pair of runs, and Hindle followed with an RBI double and an 8-0 advantage
-DeAngelis took in the rest of the way for the opening victory

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Mighty Macs put up a huge inning in the second to leave no doubt. Petito doubled in a run to start the scoring and after the Macs loaded the bases, an error scored a run and sophomore
Abigail Carter brought in another with a single to left-center. Rey then put an exclamation mark on the inning with her third grand slam of the season and a 7-0 lead
-Meanwhile, Bormann was outstanding, retiring the side in order in the first, second, third, and fifth innings, while working around a single in the fourth and an error in the sixth. Â For Bormann, she has thrown 13 consecutive shutout innings while allowing no runs, no walks, and just three hits
-The Macs tacked on another with an RBI fielder's choice from Bartow in the seventh
