CLARKS SUMMIT, Pa.- The Mighty Mac women's tennis team maintained their unblemished Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) mark as they moved to 6-0 with a 7-2 victory over Clarks Summit on the road on Friday afternoon. The Mighty Macs are now 9-3 overall this season and clinched their fifth straight CSAC postseason berth.
DOUBLES RESULTS
-IU swept all three doubles to take a commanding lead
-Freshmen
Caleigh Masterman and freshman
Morgan Jacob at first doubles, and freshmen
Elizabeth Lipscomb and
Catherine Zirolli at third doubles each won 8-5
-At second doubles, senior
Susan Callahan and junior
Caitlin Savage cruised 8-0
SINGLES RESULTS
-The Macs won four of six singles in straight sets and lost the other two in third set tiebreakers
-Masterman won 6-1, 6-0 at first singles and Jacob won at fourth, 6-1, 6-1
-Lipscomb and Zirolli got themselves two win days with a 6-2, 6-1 win at fifth singles and a 6-4, 6-0 win at sixth singles, respectively
-At second, Callahan won the first set 6-3 before dropping the second set 6-4 and the tiebreaker, 10-5
-At third, Savage lost the first set 7-5, came back with a 6-3 win in the second set and dropped the tiebreaker, 12-10
