GAME 1
HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Macs looked to strike early in Sunday's opener when
Michaela Petito singled in the top of the first and moved up to second after
Keani Hindle drew a two-out walk. Bartow followed with a single to right, but Petito was cut down at the plate by the right fielder to end the inning.
-A steal of home in the bottom of the first gave Alvernia the early advantage, and later extended its lead to four with three runs in the bottom of the third capped off by a two-out RBI triple from JoAnnah Lim.
-After an Alvernia RBI single in the bottom of the fourth to make it a 5-0 advantage, the Macs answered with two of their own in the top of the fifth to cut the deficit to three. With the bases loaded and one out in the frame, Hindle delivered a liner to left-center to score Carter and Bischoff.
-The Golden Wolves responded in a big way in the home half of the inning with five runs on just three hits to end the game at a 10-2 final.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Bormann took the mound in game two for the Macs and picked up right where she left off a day ago, allowing only four hits through five shutout innings.
-After stranding runners at third in the first two innings, the Macs broke through to get their starter some run support when
Ashley Rey doubled to right-center to drive in Petito who reached on a fielder's choice earlier in the frame.
-After Bormann's fourth scoreless inning in the circle, IU struck again with a single run in the fifth. Bartow's two-out, infield hit set up first and second with the Macs, and
Kayla Sponsel delivered a clutch two-out RBI knock to left to drive in Hindle, extending the lead to two.
-The Macs would strand a runner at third in the top of the sixth, opening the door for an Alvernia comeback in the bottom half of the frame. Back-to-back extra-base hits to start off the inning cut the deficit to two, and Lim produced the big hit yet again, this time with a run-scoring double to left-center to knot the game at two.
-Immaculata went down in order in its half of the seventh and the Golden Wolves walked off with a two-out RBI single to secure the sweep, 3-2.
