LA PLUME, Pa. – Fifth-seed Immaculata University volleyball took fourth-seeded Keystone College to five set in its Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Tournament quarterfinal match Tuesday night, October 31, but the host Giants pulled out the 3-2 win to advance in the postseason. Keystone won the match, 26-24, 23-25, 23-25, 25-17, and 15-11.

Olivia Zdradzinski recorded a triple-double, and
Arden Vizzard and
Lex Poss each had double-doubles during the match. Zdradzinski reached 10 digs, 34 assists and 13 digs, while Vizzard amassed 18 kills and 23 digs, and Poss had 13 assists and 11 digs

Immaculata ends the 2017 season with a 9-12 overall record. Keystone (14-16) advances to the CSAC Tournament semifinals and will face second-seeded Neumann on Thursday, Nov. 2.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- A kill by
Rachael Rockefeller gave the Mighty Macs a 3-2 lead, and Immaculata continued to hold the advantage, growing it to five points (12-7). Keystone rallied back with five-consecutive points tying the set at 12-12. The two squad then went back and forth with lead changes and eight ties until the 23-all mark.
Arden Vizzard had a kill that gave Immaculata the 24-23 edge, but Keystone tied it at 24-24. Unable to get the side-out, Immaculata fell in the opening set, 26-24.
- Â After going back and forth at the start of the second set, Keystone gained a four-point advantage (10-6) and forced Immaculata to call timeout. The Mighty Macs returned to the court winning the ensuing four points to even the set at 10-10. The squads rallied back and forth before a three-point run by the Mighty Macs gave the visitors an 18-15 edge. Keystone climbed within one point but Immaculata never gave away the lead, and the Mighty Macs hung on for the 25-23 win.
- Keystone had the early lead in the third set, but Immaculata did tie the score three times before gaining the advantage.
Gabrielle Guerrera tied the set at 10-10 with a kill, and Immaculata took its first lead in the third set off a Keystone hitting error. Following the Giants knotting the score at 11-11, the Mighty Macs rattled off the next four points, which included kills by
Nicole Taylor,
Arden Vizzard and
Shelby Belk, for the 15-11 lead. Keystone worked its way back into the set evening the score at 19-19 and later 22-all. The Giants took a 23-22 lead, but Guerrera had a kill to even the score at 23-all, and another kill by Guerrera coupled with a Keystone attack error handed Immaculata the 2-1 lead in the match.
- Keystone started the fourth set winning the first four points, and led 7-2. Immaculata got within two points (9-7), but a 9-1 spurt by Keystone set the hosts ahead by double figures (18-8). Keystone went on to win the set, 25-17, and force the deciding fifth set.
 The teams traded points at the beginning of the fifth set, and Immaculata took its only lead of the set on a Vizzard kill (4-3). Following that kill, the Giants won six-straight points for a 9-4 lead. Immaculata tried to climb back into the set cutting its deficit to three points on several occasions, the final time at 14-11 on another kill by Vizzard. However, Keystone won the next point to take the match.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Kills: Guerrera paced the Mighty Macs with 19 kills, while Vizzard added 18 kills. Zdradzinski was the final Immaculata hitter to reach double figures with 10 kills.
- Assists: Zdradzinski put up 34 assists, while Poss contributed 13 assists.
Sara Desmond also had six assists.
- Blocks: Guerrera and Belk each had two block assists.
- Digs: Four Mighty Macs were in double digits in digs, led by 23 digs by Vizzard. Desmond made 17 digs, Zdradzinski had 13, and Poss made 11.
