IMMACULATA, Pa. - Immaculata women's volleyball head coach
Mary Kirchner has unveiled the team's 2026 schedule.
"The team is ready to build on the foundation that started last season with respect to our championship culture," Kirchner said. "The chemistry and energy is already there between our returning and new players, so there is a lot of excitement and expectation around what we can achieve this season."
2026 will mark Kirchner's second season leading the Mighty Macs. The team went 11-17 (4-3 AEC) in 2025 and fell to Marywood in the Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Semifinals.
The Mighty Macs' season debuts on Tuesday, Sept. 1 at Delaware Valley. That weekend, they will travel to DeSales for an invitational with Rutgers-Camden, Penn College, and the host. The home opener is on Sept. 9 against Neumann. Immaculata will play three tri-matches throughout September, hosted by York (Pa.), Ursinus, and Washington College. The month ends with a midweek trip to Bryn Mawr.
In early October, the Mighty Macs see a double dose of Penn State with away matches at PSU Schuylkill and PSU Brandywine. AEC play begins on Oct. 17 with Saint Elizabeth visiting Alumnae Hall. After a stop at Centenary (N.J.), Immaculata hosts its lone doubleheader of the 2026 slate with Gwynedd Mercy and Central Penn College, the latter of whom the Mighty Macs have never faced before.
A home date with Centenary (N.J.) and a road trip to Saint Elizabeth introduce November before conference playoffs run from Nov. 10-14.
With long-time AEC rivals Neumann and Marywood officially joining the MAC Commonwealth and MAC Freedom, respectively, prior to the 2026-27 school year, the AEC stands at six institutions. Therefore, Immaculata women's volleyball will see Centenary (N.J.) and Saint Elizabeth twice this season.
