Box Score SCRANTON, Pa. - Immaculata men's basketball was able to hold on for the 69-66 road victory at Marywood Saturday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) play. The Mighty Macs move to 7-2, 4-2 CSAC while the Pacers fall to 1-12, 1-5 CSAC.

Eric Pittman Jr. paced Immaculata with 23 points while adding seven rebounds and two assists.
Mike Piekarski finished with 13 points, four assists and eight rebounds, while
Roy Ferrell Jr. had 12 points and nine rebounds.
Matt Simon had seven points and three assists.

The first half was extremely close both ways as the Mighty Macs had the biggest lead of the half at five points, but the lead changed hands several times. The Mighty Macs took a four point lead midway through with a triple by freshman
Jordan Ambrose to make it 21-17.

The Pacers trimmed the IU lead to one at 22-21, but a jumper by sophomore
Mike Piekarski, who had 10 first half points, and a jumper from senior
Matt Simon put the Macs up 26-21 with 6:32 to go before the break.

The Macs continued to lead for the next five minutes until the Pacers took a 33-32 lead late in the period. However, junior
Eric Pittman Jr. converted a three-point play to give IU a 35-33 lead at the half.

Marywood tied the contest on the opening possession of the second half, and that basket started a nine-point run by the Pacers, who opened a seven-point lead on the Mighty Macs, 42-35. Immaculata slowly chipped away at Marywood's lead finally tying the score at 52-all after a pair of Pittman Jr. free throws. With 11:05 to go. The lead went back-and-forth until Simon connected on a three with 9:04 to play that gave the Mighty Macs a 57-55 advantage.

Following Marywood tying the game at 59-all with 5:54 to play in the contest,
Michael Griffin III connected on a three to hand the Mighty Macs back the lead, and they would not give it up the rest of the game. Immaculata took a five-point lead into the final minute of regulation, and hung on for the ttthree-point victory.
