IMMACULATA, Pa. – Immaculata University volleyball pushed Keystone College to the limit on Saturday afternoon as the visiting Giants got the better of the Mighty Macs, 3-2, in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) play. Keystone won the first two set (25-19 and 25-20), but Immaculata battled back with a pair of 25-19 victories to force a deciding fifth set. The Giants came out with a 15-11 win for the match.

Immaculata drops to 3-9 overall and 0-2 in CSAC play. Keystone improved to 8-4, 5-0.

The Mighty Macs had three players reach double digits in kills.
Arden Vizzard led the way with a double-double on a career-high 17 kills and 18 digs.
Shelby Belk made 13 kills, while
Gabrielle Guerrera had 12 kills and two blocks.
Nicole Taylor also added eight kills.

Olivia Zdradzinski registered a career-high 46 assists to go along with seven digs.
Molly Truitt was the leader on defense with a career-high 40 digs as she was doing everything she could to keep the ball from dropping. Truitt also had four service aces.
Madi Curley also turned in a strong defensive effort with 18 kills.

Keystone started the match on a 5-0 run, and Immaculata was forced to play from behind the entire first set. The Mighty Macs were within three (18-15) late in the set, when the Giants won four-straight points to lead 22-15. Keystone later got to set-point, but Immaculata scored three points to force a Giants timeout. Keystone won the set on the first point after the timeout for the 1-0 lead.

Immaculata led during the second set thanks to a seven-point run that gave the hosts a 12-4 advantage. After an exchange of points, the Mighty Macs were still on top of the Giants, 15-7, but that was about to change. Keystone broke IU's serve and then went on to serve up eight more points to take a 16-15 lead. Following an 18-all tie, Keystone outscored Immaculata 7-2 down the stretch for the 25-20 win.

The Mighty Macs trailed 9-5 to the Giants early in the third, but they grabbed all the momentum they needed with a 7-1 run that put them in the lead, 12-10. Immaculata never trailed the rest of the set.

Immaculata used a 10-1 spurt in the fourth set to take a 15-7 advantage on Keystone. The Giants responded to the Mighty Macs' run with five-straight points, cutting Immaculata's edge to 15-12. The Mighty Macs further extended their lead to 22-15 before the Giants won four-consecutive points to make it 22-19. After Immaculata won back serve on the next point, Vizzard set the match into a fifth set with two kills to close it out.

Immaculata fell behind early in the fifth set, 11-3, and Keystone was inching closer to match point at 13-6. The Mighty Macs weren't done fighting for the match however, winning six points to cause the Giants to use both timeouts as the score was now 13-11. Belk had two kills, and Vizzard and Guerrera each had one during the span. Keystone would eventually take the match 15-11.

Immaculata will be on the road Wednesday in non-conference play at Penn State Abington at 7 p.m.
