LANGHORNE, Pa.- The Mighty Mac women's tennis team (5-3) improved to 2-1 in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) play with a 9-0 victory over Cairn (3-3, 1-2 CSAC) on Friday afternoon. The Mighty Macs dropped just four games en route to the conference triumph.
Senior
Lauren Degnan and junior
Kelly Gross at first doubles, and freshmen
Susan Callahan and
Timesha Smith at third doubles each won 8-0. Senior
Annaliese Kambouroglos and sophomore
Caitlin Savage captured their match, 8-2, in second doubles.
Degnan and Gross each continued their fine play on the day with 6-0, 6-1 victories at first and second singles, respectively.
Kambouroglos at third singles and Callahan at fourth singles each won easily, 6-0, 6-0. Savage moved to 8-0 at fifth singles this season with a 6-0, 6-0 win and Smith followed suit with a straight sets sweep as well at sixth singles.
The Mighty Macs will stay in CSAC play tomorrow with a trip to Marywood at 1 p.m.
