IMMACULATA, Pa. – Immaculata women's tennis won three singles matches as the Mighty Macs tried to overcome an early doubles deficit Wednesday afternoon, but came up short as Stockton defeated Immaculata, 6-3, in non-conference action.

Kelly Gross, playing in the second singles position, was the first Mighty Mac to victory as Gross downed Colleen Anderson, 6-3, 6-4.
Caitlin Savage was the second Mighty Mac point as she defeated Theresa Fernbacher, 6-4, 6-3, at fifth singles.

Stockton eventually clinched the match with wins at first and fourth singles, but Immaculata wasn't finished.
Timesha Smith went three sets in her battle at sixth singles, and ended up with the win, 3-6, 7-5, 12-10, for the final IU point of the match.

The Ospreys took all three doubles matches, 8-4, 8-2, 8-4, respectively.

Immaculata will be at Bryn Mawr on Friday for another non-conference match.
