IMMACULATA, Pa. – Immaculata softball swept its doubleheader with Cairn on Saturday afternoon winning both games in five innings, 23-1 and 8-0. The Mighty Macs improve to 10-18 overall and 9-7 in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) play with the pair of wins.

Kelsey Collevechio collected a team-high six hits as she went 6-for-8 with two doubles and seven RBIs. She also scored twice.
Becca Reifer was a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBIs.
Paige Hughes was 3-for-5 and walked twice with four runs scored and four RBIs.
Meghan Kugler also was 3-for-5 with three runs scored and three RBIs.
Annemarie Bartow combined for three hits and one walk, five runs scored and two RBIs.

Immaculata had a total of 11 players have hits during the two games.
Caitlin Brasier had two hits, three runs scored and one RBI.
Kathleen Devaney had two hits and two RBIs.
Caitlyn Hudock was the final Immaculata player with a multi-hit afternoon as she had two hits and two runs scored.

The Mighty Macs sent four pitchers into the circle, and they allowed just four hits in the 10 innings while striking out 11 Highlanders. Brasier and Bormann each picked up wins. Brasier went three innings allowing two hits and striking out two.
Jessica Bormann pitched three innings, allowed one hit and struck out four. Kugler struck out four batters in her two innings of work while not allowing a hit. Reifer also went two innings with one hit, one run and one strikeout.

In the opener, Immaculata scored six runs in the first, three in the second and four in the third for the 13-0 lead. The Mighty Macs then plated 10 runs in the fourth before Cairn got one run back in the top of the fifth.

The Mighty Macs got off to a slower start in game two. Immaculata got two runs in the second inning before scoring five in the third. Immaculata sealed up the early win with one more run in the fourth.

Immaculata travels to Eastern on Monday for a 3 p.m. start against the Eagles.
