Box Score EDWARDSVILLE, Pa. – Immaculata men's lacrosse used a six-goal fourth quarter, including three goals from
Mike Reardon, to rally past host Wilkes on Saturday afternoon in non-conference action.
Brendan Doyle scored three goals and assisted on two goals, while Reardon and
Matt Krewson scored three goals and one assist each.
Tyler Black was the final goal scorer for the Mighty Macs with two goals and one assist.
Christian Fisher and
Samuel Zingaro each posted one assist.
Wilkes scored four goals in the first quarter for the early lead on Immaculata, 4-0.
The Mighty Macs scored the first three goals of the second quarter to get their deficit to 4-3. Doyle had a hand in all three goals as he assisted on the first tally by Black, and scored the next two goals. Wilkes scored with 19 seconds remaining in the quarter to take a 5-3 lead into halftime.
Wilkes went ahead, 6-3, after a goal at the 11:14 mark of the third quarter, but it was all Immaculata for the rest of the period as Black and Krewson each scored to put the guests within one (6-5) heading into the final 15 minutes of play.
Reardon tied the game up for the Mighty Macs with 11:31 to play on a man-up goal, and Immaculata took its first lead of the contest as Doyle scored with 10:46 to go. Wilkes evened the game at 7-7 with 6:59 remaining, and the Mighty Macs closed the contest scoring four unanswered goals. Krewson and Reardon each scored two goals during the final 6:32 for the contest for the win.
Jake Kemble collected a team-best six ground balls and created two turnovers.
Brian Shultis had five ground balls and one caused turnover.
Immaculata is home on Wednesday at 4 p.m. taking on Stockton.
