BOX SCORE
IMMACULATA, Pa.- After a week off due to the rainy conditions last week, the Immaculata women's tennis team (7-4, 3-2 CSAC) hosted Clarks Summit in a rescheduled match from last Friday, and the Mighty Macs wasted no time in dispatching the Defenders (1-7, 1-5 CSAC) by a score of 9-0 in a Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) matchup. This was the first of four CSAC matches this week that will go a long way toward determining the Macs' playoff fate.
In doubles, the Macs got a win by forfeit at the third position, and made quick work of the other two matches as senior
Lauren Degnan and junior
Kelly Gross won 8-2 at first doubles, and senior Annaliese Kamobouroglos and sophomore
Caitlin Savage won 8-0 at the second position.
The momentum did not stop there as the Macs dropped just three games total in singles play. Freshman
Timesha Smith picked up a forfeit victory at the sixth position while Callahan at fourth and Savage at fifth took care of business 6-0, 6-0.
Degnan and Kambouroglos each won 6-1, 6-0 at first and third singles, respectively, while Gross won at second singles, 6-0, 6-1.
The Macs will look for the second victory of the week as they travel to Cedar Crest Wednesday afternoon.
